Fantastic Freebies
Free online coupons
Filed under: Fantastic Freebies, Bargain Babe
The site usually has 80-200 coupons that you can electronically "clip" and print out.
Right now there is a coupon for 50 cents off Challenge butter, $1 off Special K cereal, and $2 off Nivea body wash. Print these, wait until the items go on sale, and boom, you'll pay a fraction of the original retail price.
You can also add coupons directly to your grocery store loyalty card from the site's "savings card" tab. Then you don't have to use paper or printer ink to get the coupon.
Coupons.com allows each coupon to be printed a limited number of times, so don't delay if you see a good coupon. The upside to this is that the selection of coupons is constantly being refreshed. You can opt to receive a weekly e-mail reminding you when there are new coupons.
Free desk calender from Snapfish
Filed under: Fantastic Freebies, Bargain Babe
Get a free desk calender from Snapfish when you register on its Web site, which requires sharing an e-mail and your name. This only works for new customers who have not previously registered on the site. The offer expires Wednesday Nov. 25.
Sign up here. If that link doesn't work, try this one.
The calender normally sells for $15. You get to choose from one of 18 designs, you can add your own photos for each month and start your calender on any month (not just January). Great for yourself or as a holiday gift!
If you don't have any high quality pictures, check Flickr for calender-worthy pics. It's easy to put together a calender around a theme related to a hobby or interest, like fuzzy animals, yoga, nature, etc.
Free sample of Avril Lavigne 'Black Star' perfume
Filed under: Fantastic Freebies
Maybe you were surprised to hear that the young rock singer/songwriter cum punk rock princess Avril Lavigne has her own perfume line. Punk rock and perfume aren't two words that blend in beautiful harmony, after all. What was Johnny Rotten's favorite scent, after all? Eau de vomit, perhaps. I digress. Lavigne recently released a new scent called Black Star, which contains, according to her website, notes of pink hibiscus, black plum and dark chocolate. Sounds delicious, anyway.
You can order yourself a sample by filling out this online form.
Ah, the sweet smell of success.

Rite Aid $4 off $20 coupon and freebie!
Filed under: Fantastic Freebies, Bargain Babe
Here's an even better coupon for your next trip to Rite Aid. Get $4 off a purchase of $20 (prescriptions don't count) when you bring this coupon into the store. Expires Nov. 21, 2009. In store only. Caveats: Not valid on purchase of prescriptions, prescription co-pays, Medicare or Medicaid prescriptions, lottery tickets, tobacco, alcohol products, money orders, gift cards, stamps, licenses, or other mailing series. Cannot be combined with other offers. Sales tax does not count toward the $20.
The above link also has a coupon for $2 off any Rite Aid brand over-the-counter medication that costs at least $2. That means if you find an over the counter medication for $2, it is free! It's unclear how the coupon defines "medicine" so ask the manager. Do cough drops count? What about lip balm? Hmmmm....this coupon leaves room for creative solutions.
Caveats: expires Nov. 21, 2009. Cannot be combined with any other offers. Not valid online.

Get a free photobook from MyPublisher until Nov. 18 when you buy one photobook. To get the deal, order one more book than you want to pay for and use coupon code HOL241. Get a free consultation with a Jenny Craig representative by clicking on the image at right. There's no requirement to sign up, though that option will surely be stressed. Talking to a weight loss expert might not be a bad way to start the holiday season. I could use some help reaching for my running shoes instead of Halloween candy!

Free wedding gowns for military brides
About 15 bridal salons around the U.S. are offering free wedding gowns to military brides next week through the Brides Across America event.
The gowns are being given away on a first come, first serve basis and are valued at between $500 to $3,000. Most are samples or overstocks between sizes 4 to 22, but selections vary from salon to salon.
To qualify for the giveaway you must be engaged, on active duty in the military, and have been deployed or will be deployed to Afghanistan or Iraq. You also qualify if your fiance is on active military duty in those countries. If you've already been married by a justice of the peace but are planning an upcoming wedding, you may still qualify for a free gown.
When you visit the bridal salon you'll need to show an ID, copy of deployment papers for you or your finance, orders or other qualifying proof.
Each salon has a limited number of dresses to give away, so get there early or you'll be put on a waiting list for future events.
The dates and times vary, so check the Brides Across America site to find a location near you.
